Named for the D 86 route that threads through the appellation, this red Syrah comes from a single biodynamic hectare split across two plots at the highest, coolest edge of Saint Joseph. That elevation is the whole point: it gives a brighter, more aromatic, more elegant expression of Syrah than his powerful Cornas, all sanguine cherry and lift over fine grained tannin, at a graceful alcohol
